Serious failure of a lower bearing at J2 Hydro led to damage to the lower and upper bearing and more seriously the turbine itself. Hydro Maintain, Halliday Hydropower International's hydropower maintenance team, were called to site to assess the damage and remove the turbine.
Hallidays Hydropower are now working with the client to asses the best way forward for getting the scheme up and running again as soon as possible.
